Henan Iron and Steel Group Anyang Base Successfully Delivered the First Order of High Manganese Wear-resistant Steel
New special steel products are shipped! Henan Iron and Steel Group's Anyang base successfully delivered its first order of high manganese wear-resistant steel,
Color-coated coils are made from cold-rolled steel strip. Galvanized steel strip is made from galvanized steel sheets (electrogalvanized or hot-dip galvanized). After surface pretreatment (degreasing and chemical treatment), one or more layers of organic coating are applied by roller coating, followed by baking and cooling.Improper storage of color-coated steel coils can lead to defects such as scratches, dents, and rust, which can even cause serious consequences. To ensure the quality of color-coated steel coils, careful storage is essential.Store them indoors in a clean, dry, and well-ventilated environment. Avoid outdoor storage or locations prone to condensation or temperature fluctuations. The storage surface must be flat, free of hard objects, and have sufficient load-bearing capacity. Coils should be placed upright on rubber mats, wooden pads, or supports, with the buckles facing upward. Thick plates and coils should be stored properly for easy access and to minimize unnecessary movement. Stacking is strictly prohibited to prevent damage, and stacking height must be strictly limited.
Anti-corrosion spiral welded pipes have a wide range of applications, commonly used for external corrosion protection in oil, gas, water supply, and heating pipelines in buried or underwater environments. Additionally, they are suitable for corrosion prevention in various steel structures, dock construction, shipbuilding, water gate facilities, gas storage tanks, and petrochemical plant equipment.
Within concrete structures, anti-corrosion spiral welded pipes also play a vital role in waterproofing and leak-proofing projects. They are employed in leak-proof construction for locations such as sewage tanks, roof waterproofing layers, bathrooms, and basements.
There are multiple connection methods for anti-corrosion spiral steel pipes. Below are some common connection types:
I. Socket Connection (Rubber Seal Method)
• Applicable Scenarios: Suitable for larger diameter anti-corrosion spiral steel pipes.
• Connection Method: Insert the pipe into the socket, seal with a rubber gasket, and finally secure with a clamp.
• Precautions: Ensure the quality of the rubber seal ring and conduct regular inspections and maintenance to prevent leaks caused by aging, loosening, or other issues.
II. Flange Connection
• Suitable Scenarios: Applicable for high-pressure pipelines and pipelines requiring frequent disassembly.
• Connection Method: Connect two corrosion-resistant spiral steel pipes using flanges, then secure the flanges together with bolts. The inner circumference of the flange is drilled to match the pipe's outer diameter, with a blind flange welded in for easy cleaning and maintenance.
• Advantages: Easy installation, simple disassembly, and excellent sealing.
• Disadvantages: Higher cost, requires custom lengths, and longer installation time.
III. Threaded Connection (Screw Connection)
• Applicable Scenarios: Suitable for smaller diameter anti-corrosion spiral steel pipes, such as DN15 to DN100 pipelines.
• Connection Method: Threads are machined onto both pipe ends, then two anti-corrosion spiral steel pipes are connected using threaded connectors. The thread engagement length must comply with relevant specifications to ensure the pipe end face contacts the silicone rubber gasket at the fitting root, forming a secondary seal.
• Advantages: Convenient connection, low cost.
• Disadvantages: Threads are prone to damage, requiring regular inspection and maintenance.
IV. Grooved Connection
• Applicable Scenarios: Suitable for pipes ranging from DN50 to DN400.
• Connection Method: Grooves are cut into the composite steel pipe, with groove support roller dimensions varying according to pipe diameter. Two anti-corrosion spiral steel pipes are then connected via groove connectors.
• Advantages: Easy installation, no fixed length requirements.
• Disadvantages: Coating is prone to damage and requires repair.
V. Welding Connection
• Applicable Scenarios: Suitable for anti-corrosion spiral steel pipes of various diameters and wall thicknesses, particularly large-diameter pipes above DN125.
• Connection Method: Remove rust and contaminants from the joint surface, then apply welding flux before welding. For direct welding, employ weldable plastic-coated steel pipe technology. For dual-metal welding, first weld the inner stainless steel layer with stainless steel electrodes, then weld the outer steel pipe layer with carbon steel electrodes.
• Advantages: Stable connection, excellent durability, superior quality.
• Disadvantages: Complex welding process requiring specialized skills and equipment.
